A Look Back at 2008
You can't get through to the end of the year without reflecting just a little bit on the past 12 months. Even the customer strategy world saw a lot of innovations, improvements, and exciting advances. There were also, of course, some missteps.
Today's issue of 1to1 Weekly highlights the most popular content (as clicked by you) at www.1to1media.com. It's very interesting to see what caught people's attention. It seems that loyalty, social media, and marketing spending were some of the top challenges facing companies this year. And of course, the economic downturn is on top of everyone's minds as well.
Personally, I most enjoyed writing about the advances in the mobile space this year. It's still a very young industry, and companies are trying to figure out how to make the most of the platform for marketing and customer service. As a writer and a mobile customer, I'm excited to see what 2009 will bring for the mobile space.
What stories did you find most valuable or interesting? What types of stories would you like to see us cover in 2009?
For us 2009 will be a year in which we find companies making even more advances in the name of the customer, with a new round of 1to1 Customer Champions and Gartner & 1to1 Customer Award winners. In addition, we'll be on the hunt to find companies and people that live the idea of one-to-one strategy to build stronger, more valuable customer relationships.
