What Was Your Favorite Customer Strategy Story of 2009?
Another year has come and gone. We at 1to1 Media have seen our fair share of innovation and best practices around customer strategy. Whether its social media's impact on marketing, sales, and service, or companies finally integrating data across channels, there has been much progress in 2009 in the name of customer centricity.
In this week's issue of 1to1 Weekly we highlight the most popular articles of the year. Some are data focused, some call out Customer Champions, and others simple push the customer strategy envelope.
Personally, one of my favorite stories this year was "The Economic Recovery Mirrors Customer Strategy," an article I wrote comparing leading economists' predictions for global recovery with the progress of customer strategy. Here are some other of my favorites:
- Whirlpool Puts a New Spin on Customer Loyalty -- Mila D'Antonio wrote this feature in the magazine about how employee engagement and customer service leads to customer loyalty at Whirlpool. It's full of great insight for any company looking for best practices.
- Adapt or Die -- Editor-in-Chief Ginger Conlon explores the reality of customer strategy. There's no denying that companies that fail to bolster their customer strategies risk extinction, she writes.
- Cashing in on Social Media -- To get past the hype, social media needs to tie to actual financial results. Jeremy Nedelka gets the scoop of how people are measuring social media's impact on their business.
