Industry-Agnostic Innovation
So far today at the World Innovation Forum we have heard from marketing expert Seth Godin, venture capitalist Brian Cohen, and Wendy Kopp, CEO of Teach for America. They represent three very different industries, but each sector share common qualities of leadership and innovation.
Kopp of Teach for America puts it best: "At every level you realize that there's nothing magic, nothing elusive about what creates [leadership and innovation]. Success happens everywhere. You need talent, accountability, leadership, strong culture, and hard work in any high-performing organization."
She adds that you need to get folks on a mission with a goal-oriented approach. Find culture-builders and motivators to move innovation along, which echoes the artists and geniuses that Godin talked about earlier this morning.
What other qualities do to you think can cross industries to encourage innovative and high-performing companies?
